Sometimes a holy woman comes,
She walks in from the earth,
She carries all the wisdom from
Today until time's birth,
I didn't realise it then:
You can't stand in progress' way,
Was I master of my fate?
I dug my heels in anyway.
She tested me all over
Again, until I saw
Ordeals are there for learning
And not the devil's law.
I heard Hawk's cry a million times
Before I understood
The way of things, the eagle's flight
Not having what I should,
She wasn't there to get me,
But simply passing by,
And so we kissed and made up,
Satan, Christ and I.
I guess we should use this now,
This wisdom all for good,
To learn from our mistakes, knowing
We did what we could,
So starting now, that history
Will now renew itself,
Not end up in dusty volumes
On a bloody shelf.
And so Creator has walked in,
With metal or with blues,
Sometimes a holy woman comes
As bearer of the news.

"I dug my heels in anyway" is an excellent line. And the imagery is extremely interesting in these lines especially:
"And so we kissed and made up,
Satan, Christ and I."

We are such stuff
As dreams are made on, and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep
